A: Yes

A: Every 20 to 30 minutes while you still have bleeding.
Q: When should I start taking pain medications?
A: When you begin to feel a tingling sensation, the numbness is beginning to wear off. This is the time to begin taking pain medication.
Q: How long should my numbness last?
A: 6-8 hours.
Q: When can I eat?
A: Right after your procedure, especially after an IV since you haven’t eaten for 6 hours. Stay away from hot foods and beverages until bleeding has stopped.
Q: When can I exercise again?
A: Usually you can resume regular exercise after your post operative visit.
Q: Can I reach the Doctor over the weekend or at night?
A: Yes, by calling our regular office number and speaking with our answering service.
Q: Do the stitches dissolve?
A: Yes
Q: Should I ice my face?
A: Yes, on the outside of your mouth to decrease swelling. 10 minuets on and 10 minuets off.
Q: When can I brush my teeth?
A: Right away except for the excision in the surgical area.
Q: Why does it feel difficult to swallow?
A: Because you are numb.

A: No, for at least 5-7 days after procedure
